This entire move is a huge "F YOU" to the playerbase in my opinion. CCP knows full well the poor state of the world economy currently. Hell, my room mate had to stop playing because he lost his job.
What's to encourage players to come back if they don't have that inkling little, "Oh hey that skill I really wanted is probably done training now too..."
CCP, this is a ridiculous decision.
EDIT:
AND WTF! This has been going on for the past five years with no real ill-effects. Why is it all of a sudden a big deal? I think something like this, it is too late to change. Now you'll get newbies complaining us old players got those few free months and for cheaper!
So that's it. CPP's trying to discourage new players from joining I suppose?
Ugh.

Very sadly true. As I said before, my roommate had to cancel his account because he was laid off. I'm luckily still employed, but with the economy the way it is, nobody can be certain anymore...
I think this is just adding salt to the wound of the economic crisis.

I have never bought a GTC with isk. As a matter of fact, I pay by yearly subscription now. I have never intentionally used ghost training. I do not agree with CCP's stance.
